Competition Time: 11:45 AM – 12:30 PM

Time Limit: 45 Minutes

COMPETITION RULES

1. Eligibility: Competitors must meet at least ONE of the following requirements:
• Currently enrolled in barber or cosmetology school.
• Graduated within the last 12 months.
• Have less than 3 years of professional barbering experience.
2. Fade Required: Competitors must execute a clean, professional fade haircut. Low, mid, high, skin, and drop fades are permitted.
3. No Taper-Only Haircuts: The haircut must demonstrate a complete fade. Taper-only haircuts will not qualify.
4. Tools Permitted: Clippers, trimmers, shavers, razors, and shears are allowed.
5. No Pre-Cutting: Models must arrive with enough hair growth to demonstrate a visible transformation. Fades and lineups cannot be pre-cut.
6. Minimum Hair Growth: Models must have at least ¼ inch of hair growth in the fade areas.
7. Enhancements Allowed: Hair fibers, hairline enhancement sprays, temporary paint, and color enhancements are permitted.
8. Haircut & Styling: Competitors may trim, shape, and style the top of the haircut. The fade must remain the main focus.
9. Live Models: All competitors must provide their own live model.
10. Time Enforcement: All tools must be put down immediately when the 45-minute timer expires.
11. Judges’ Decision: All judging decisions are final.
